A short history of The Inn At Benicia Bay

We are located in the Heart of Benicia's Old Town District. one half block from the Benicia Marina and 1/2 block to downtown shops and fine dining.. This area is notable for its Gold Rush architecture, fine antique stores, quaint restaurants, specialty shops and the crafts and glass blowing studios of renowned artists.

Originally built by a riich sea captain, Harold Paladini, for his bride, the main house dates back to 1854 .The captain passed and the widow Paladini operated the property as a boarding house where she later met and married Captain Dillingham. The home then stayed in the same family through succeding generations until 1983 when the final heirr passed away and the property became a Bed & Breakfast as it has remained until today. In fact, much of the furnishings from the Dillingham family were later donated to the Vallejo Maritime Museum.
