When the Inn was built in the 1800's shipping and ship building were major industries in Benicia. Captain Dillingham was one of the Sea Captains who made The Inn his home. His room reflects a nautical feel with its queen four poster bed and English walnut furnishings. The lighting is gentle with two sky lights in the high ceiling. The bath features a Jacuzzi tub with shower.
As exotic as its name this large king room is located through French doors off the upper deck. It combines cathedral ceilings, lush linens, striking furniture and deco art for a feeling of escape to another place and time. Add the stunning black and white tiled bath with Jacuzzi tub and shower and this will be a room you will want to "play again" and again.
Step from the upstairs deck overlooking the garden through the French doors into your own private garden. The high vaulted ceilings and abundance of light in this spacious king room couples with the mahogany furnishings, original art and floral linens to make this a room you will want to visit again and again. The blue oasis of a bathroom features a Jacuzzi tub and shower. This room sleeps 3 as it also features additional pull-out twin bed. A $35 fee will be added for a third person.
This premiere accommodation is located on the main floor in the front of the original 1854 structure and was the former front room and heart of the Paladini home.The extra large bath features a dry sauna and double Jacuzzi tub for the relaxation of you and yours. This is the perfect honeymoon suite or romantic getaway. A Queen bed and a pullout twin bed are provided so, this room can accommodate a third person (at $35 extra per night).
Currently undergoing renovation. When complete, this room will be completely ADA-accessible with a roll-in shower, and an accessible door in close proximity to it's own parking spot.
Named after the train whose name became synonymous with luxury this too is a great way to travel. Located on the first floor, this room features a private patio to the rear and a deck area to the front in the garden. Reminiscent of the 1930's Oriental design period, numerous Asian pieces and an antique six panel antique Chinese screen make for an opulent yet comfortable feel. The king size bed, large desk and work area make this room a favorite with our corporate travelers.
Oceana was the only child of Captain William Wallace Dillingham and Jane Paladini Dillingham. Located upstairs in the historic house, the room features the original ball and claw bathtub and marble sink. This sunny room has a sloping ceiling and walls painted in rose and a rich cranberry color carpet. The room overlooks the front garden and remains true to the original 1854 house.
