Our 1854 Victorian-era Inn features 7 unique and relaxing rooms with private in-room
bathrooms and each with a different personality.
Would you like a room with a sauna, private patio, a Jacuzzi tub, or a four poster bed?
Your family with children 12 and older are welcome (sorry, no young children or pets).
Our Story
The Inn at Benicia Bay began as a private home built in 1854, when Benicia was the capital of California.
It remained in the Dillingham family for 122 years,
then was turned into a bed and breakfast in 1985.
In September, 2019 The Inn was purchased by
local Benicians Tracee and Dennis Varni, who improved the grounds and guest rooms, and built a new kitchen and restaurant. We opened The Cafe at The Inn in December 2023,
featuring delicious fresh, seasonal, California fare.
