St. Patrick’s Day Beer Crawl — March
Typically the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day, let out your Irish cheer and sample craft beers inside participating businesses.
Farmers Market — Thursdays, April through October
Benicia Main Street draws many people to its popular Farmers Market. The Market offers fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, gourmet food, delicious hot foods, arts and crafts & more, each Thursday afternoon/early evening.
Wine Walk — June
Stroll First Street on a beautiful afternoon and taste over a dozen wines being poured inside downtown shops.
Torchlight Parade — July 3rd
Benicia’s Independence Day parade stretches along First Street and includes dancers, floats, clowns, and entertainment.
Benicia Waterfront Festival — End of July
Benicia celebrates its picturesque waterfront locale with two days of live music, microbrew tastings, arts & crafts marketplace, delectable gourmet foods, and kids’ activity area.

Benicia Peddler's Fair — Mid-August
The Peddlers Fair spans 11 blocks of First Street in downtown Benicia, featuring 300 select antique and collectible dealers from all over the country offering period furniture, decorative antiques, vintage textiles and fashion, pottery, porcelain, pink and blue depression glass, paintings, prints, jewelry, clocks, watches and much more.
Scarecrow Contest — October
As people stroll downtown during the month of October they will be greeted by scarecrows fashioned by downtown businesses. The public is invited to vote on their favorites!
Witching Wine Walk — Mid-October
Witches descend upon downtown to sample wine at participating businesses—dare to join them? Costumes are welcome.
Halloween Costume Contest & Sidewalk Stroll — End of October
Halloween costume contest and sidewalk stroll. The local merchants on First Street get into the spirit of the holiday for all to shop and enjoy. There’s also a Canine & Critter Costume Contest.
Wine Walk & Shop Small — Late November
On Small Business Saturday, shop Downtown Benicia while tasting fine wines at participating businesses.
Holiday Open House — Early December
An ever-popular open house at the beginning of the Christmas Season - typically on a Friday evenig. Merchants offer beverages and treats and show off their holiday goods while costumed carolers sing traditional Christmas tunes. Live entertainment and Christmas Tree lighting add a festive atmosphere to this family event.
Holiday Parade & Market — Mid-December
The parade features local marching bands, dancers, and the much-anticipated Santa Claus. The Holiday Market features handcrafted arts & crafts, gourmet items and delicious foods.
